These programmes provide tax benefits that mainly consist of the right to pay tax at a flat rate of 15% on certain type of income. The tax payable is subject to a minimum annual tax liability covering the main applicant and dependents on the same application.
Malta Enterprise operates a number of incentives that provide assistance in the form of tax credits which are available to both individuals and businesses. Different incentives are available depending on the sector in which the business is operating and the size of the business in question.
There are number of other support measures available to businesses and individuals such as reduced rates on certain income and grants for certain types of investments.
