Tax Credits for Individuals & Businesses
Malta Enterprise operates a number of incentives that provide assistance in the form of tax credits which are available to both individuals and businesses. Different incentives are available depending on the sector in which the business is operating and the size of the business in question.
INVEST – Support for Initial Investment Projects
On the 22 January 2024, Malta Enterprise published a new set of guidelines for the INVEST (Support for Initial Investment Projects) Scheme, which measure will be open until 30 September 2026.
Micro Invest Tax credits 2024 for companies
Companies are invited to apply for a tax credit calculated at a percentage of the cost of investments carried out in 2023.
The Skills Development Scheme
On the 23 January 2024, Malta Enterprise published a new set of guidelines for The Skills Development Scheme, which aims to encourage businesses to invest in their employees by providing assistance on training to have a knowledge-based workforce. This measure will be open until 30 September 2026.
The Research and Development Scheme
On the 23 January 2024, Malta Enterprise published a new set of guidelines for the Research and Development Scheme with the aim to support industry in undertaking Industrial Research and Experimental Development activities (R&D).
The Exploring Research Grant Scheme
On 16 January 2024, Malta Enterprise published a new set of guidelines for The Exploring Research Grant Scheme, which measure will be open until 30 October 2026.
