Who we are

The roots of Mazars in Malta go back to 1998, when Attard Giglio + Co. was established and grew to become one of Malta’s leading mid-tier audit and advisory practices. Over the years, Attard Giglio + Co. built a strong and close relationship with Mazars Group, being its correspondent firm in Malta.

On 1st September 2008, the two firms decided to strengthen their relationships even further and Attard Giglio + Co. merged with the global integrated firm of Mazars.

Following the introduction of the reduction in interest and administrative penalties scheme announced in this year’s budget, the Ministry of Finance, Economy & Investment has, by means of a press release on the 16th of March 2012 notified VAT registered persons who have applied, or who would like to apply for the scheme, that the scheme has been extended to the 31st of May 2012.
